Jonathan Felkey

Jonathan graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Physical Education and a Minor in Sport Coaching. He became involved with cheerleading while attending Auburn University. He was the MIC Man for the 2002-2003 Season and was asked to try out for UCA Staff the summer after he made the squad. He not only made UCA staff but was named “Rookie of the Year” for the state of Alabama. The next year he became a cheerleader instead of the MIC Man because of his love for stunting. His second summer working for UCA he received the “Above and Beyond” award for his work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile. The third and final year he cheered for Auburn University was 2004-2005 season. He was able to help cheer the Tigers on to an undefeated 13-0 season! WAR EAGLE! He then worked yet another summer for UCA before being named the Head Coach for both the coed and all girl squads at Auburn University. He took the brand new all girl squad to a UCA college camp and after working with them for only one week placed second and third in the two competitions they entered. They beat prominent all girl cheerleading schools such as Florida State and South Florida. The aim of the all girl squad was to compete, but it was later decided that would not be possible. Since then (lucky for us!)  Jonathan has moved to Duluth to coach full-time at CDA. He is very excited and ready to help bring more national championships to the already outstanding Atlanta JayHawks!!
